Salsa and Social Studies: Exploring Community and the Movement of the Caribbean - Jennifer Corbin
The dances of the Caribbean are fun ways to learn about the culture and “rhythm” of those islands. In this residency, students will learn a dance from the Caribbean islands and explore the cultural roots of that dance. Music and dance are essential to every island gathering, so this 5-week residency will end with a celebration/performance, to share what the students have learned about the Caribbean islands with their community of family and friends.
