Culture and Dance: Traveling and Dancing the Silk Road - Jennifer Corbin
As humans move around the globe, they pick up language and artifacts, and one of the most spectacular ways to explore culture is to see and participate in dances from that part of the world. In this residency, students will learn five different dance movements, and their cultural influences, from five separate stops along the Silk Road. This journey will begin in Rajasthan and end in Spain, the route of the Romany people.
