RAPIDFIRE Q/A
Three words to describe you? Creative, confident, smart

What was your first arts "aha" moment, including how old were you? I think I was five years old, and I wanted to be a circus performer, one of the ladies who rode upon the elephants. My kindergarten teacher, on hands and knees, let me ride her back around the classroom. Props to my mom, for making me an amazing costume, and my teacher, for letting me share that spark with the world. And it wasn’t Halloween!

Why are you a teaching artist? When I dance, I’m happy. I am blissful. And I want to share that with my students.

In five words or less, why do you love your art form? Dance brings me joy

Finish the sentence: "Because of Arts Ed..." I am alive.

What does success look like during your residency? Students “move” their way into understanding new concepts and enjoy doing so

What’s an important life skill you gained through the arts? Patience

Who is an artist that changed your life? Mrs. Knell-Jones, my high school art teacher.

If you were entering a talent show, what would be your specific talent? Whistling

Do you have a secret (or not so secret) obsession? Stand up paddle board
