SPARK! ensures access to the arts for all MCPS students

"I used to think going to school was hard but every Thursday, now, we have dance class. Yes!" -CS Porter Middle School Student

“This is one of the most inspiring programs we've been involved with since the beginning of the foundation in 1988.” - Mike Halligan, Executive Director, Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, Missoula, MT

In our first year, SPARK! has provided access to community performances and exhibits for over 5,000 MCPS students.

The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation, Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS), the City of Missoula, Arts Missoula, and a broad range of local arts organizations have teamed up to help bring our community the Any Given Child Initiative. The program, developed by the Kennedy Center, focuses on ensuring equal access to diverse arts learning opportunities for any given child in our community.
