RAPID-FIRE Q/A
Three words to describe you? Creative, Collaborative, Encouraging

What was your first arts "aha" moment, including how old were you? I have a distinct memory of meeting a character artist at the local fair when I was 4. I sat next to him and was mesmerized by his magical portrait drawings for over an hour. This early memory motivated me to become an artist

Why are you a teaching artist? For me, the arts built confidence and motivated me to learn. My art mentors over the years taught me that Art is not just a technique but a way of learning. I hope to bridge that gap and ignite the same spark in students today.

In five words or less, why do you love your art form? A different way of thinking

Finish the sentence: "Because of Arts Ed..." students can creatively connect with their learning

What does success look like during your residency? an 'aha' moment when they see something differently

What’s an important life skill you gained through the arts? confidence

Who is an artist that changed your life? my college professor

If you were entering a talent show, what would be your specific talent? drawing your portrait

Do you have a secret (or not so secret) obsession? spending time outside
