Ditch the screens and get back to the basics in this celebration of the printed word. Students read poems printed on broadsides by UM's Bear Scratch Press as a launching point for writing their own poetry and authentically exploring the writing process. Writing is solitary work that cannot be done alone, so students will practice collaboration and draw inspiration from creative movement and play. The residency culminates in the creation of a class-created anthology, printed and bound without computers or machines.
