Contact Microphone Orchestra and Hidden Vibrations of Objects - Jesse Blumenthal
In this residency Students will explore the “hidden” sounds of everyday objects using Artist-built contact microphones! Students will build or select resonant objects to generate sound through contact and shift their perceptions of the objects through interaction and amplification. We will explore piezoelectricity and the translation of electrical signal to physical pressure while studying the physics of sound in space.
