Dancing the Sun, Moon, and Stars - Jordan Dehline Burt
Discover the powerful synergy of dance, science, and ELA as students connect dance with the Sun, Moon, and Stars. Students incorporate the elements of dance to explore scientific concepts. Together we discuss why artists and authors are inspired by these elements and the residency culminates by creating and performing creative movement sequences with a beginning, middle, and end, that are inspired by the celestial objects. These dances become an engaging modality for students to construct and demonstrate their understanding and promote creative expression.
