Grade Levels K-8, Theatre & Movement, Teaching experience in acting in public school systems
DISCIPLINE // Theatre & Movement
BIO // Kelly’s experience includes teaching acting, improvisational comedy, stage combat, Shakespeare, devised theatre and movement in public school systems as a guest artist, abroad, as part of a professional theatre company and most recently at University of Montana.
ARTIST STATEMENT // The performing arts allow for the exploration of the inner self and become a platform for discovery. The practice of theater and dance is a lifelong study, an infinite education in which personal truths are realized and therefore a deeper understanding of the world at large emerges. Sharing stories through live performance connects people from all different backgrounds and walks of life. This makes theatre and dance relevant. Teaching the skills of these disciplines expands our awareness and compassion for others, not just on stage but also in life.
