DISCIPLINE // Visual Arts & Printmaking
BIO // For the past 30 years, Beverly has taught K-8 art regularly in after-school programs, summer programs, camps, and special needs settings with VSA (Very Special Arts Montana). She is also an adjunct faculty at University of Montana in both drawing and printmaking and teaches print workshops for adults around the state. Beverly has a great amount of versatility in terms of approaches because of her experience working with different populations. She is excited about designing projects around a particular subject or age group she is working with.
ARTIST STATEMENT // I believe in the therapeutic aspects of art and creative processes, i.e. helping us to make sense of the world around us, and learning to be problem solvers. I like to demonstrate creative possibilities and generate dialogue about it, then provide the tools for students to execute the projects and take off in their own unique way and personal aesthetic. Printmaking and mixed media projects involving printmaking are my specialty.
