Dendrology - Observing and Understanding How Trees Grow - Bailey Zook
Dendrology is the study of trees and their rings. In this residency, students will make personal connections between how their personal growth is similar to trees. Students will observe tree rings, identify their anatomy, growth rings, and the impact of external factors on the growth of a tree. Through reflecting on the highlights of their own lives, students will create a unique piece of art styled on the rings of a tree. Their artwork will be a representation of the growth they have experienced in their own lives while they build a deeper connection with nature.
